Consumer complaints

Any consumer has the right to purchase food products or services of appropriate quality, safety, as well as to receive correct and comprehensive information in the state language about the products or services and the procedure for exercising or defending their rights. The consumer has also the right to the protection of violated rights and the compensation for damages.

If you have bought a food product of poor quality or an unsafe food product, you have the right to:

 - require the product to be replaced by a product of the same quality;

 - return the product to the seller and demand a refund.

These rights can be exercised by the consumer if he has a receipt for the purchase of the product and until the durability date of the product has expired.

The food items of inappropriate quality are replaced or returned at the point of purchase. The buyer submits a written request and the item to the seller. The request shall indicate the defects of the item and the requirements of one of the above-mentioned points chosen by the buyer. The application shall be accompanied by a receipt from the cash register or another document confirming the purchase-sale of the item from that seller.

If the seller / service provider does not agree with the consumer's requirements, it must provide a detailed, reasoned written response within 14 days.
